just picked up my first mercedes

it's a 93' 190e. got it for 600 bucks in really good shape other then high miles. but i think there is a problem. it runs and drives really smooth, it's just rediculously slow. Are these cars suppost to have enough pull to put me back in the seat because mine don't. is there something wrong or what?

Basically if you want more power you have to do an engine swap, or forced induction.

The M103 3.0 a popular swap, and is capable of beating a 2002 Mustang GT 4.6

look before you leap

Other than suspension, you will find almost no performance upgrades or mods for most MBs up to the mid 90s. It's so sad, especially thinking about all the stuff available for BMW and Porsche, even VW, from that era and earlier.

Like those guys said, engine transplant, or sell it, or chill out and drive it for good gas mileage. It's a "green" car!

104 transplant to 190E

Speaking of replacing the engine in a 190E:
