Grille hood release problem.

Grille hood release problem.
I just bought a 190e but the hood release infront of the grille is broken.
It isn't connected to anything, so I won't open the hood.
The hood is already popped up after pulling the hood release so I assume the safety hook is holding it in place but I cannot find where or how it's held to unhook it with a hanger or something.
Any help is appreciated.

grab both sides of your grille, towards the bottom, yank up and out, your grille SHOULD come off and will more than likely bend where the screws are held in place. You can bend those back with pliers. Doesn't mess up the grille too bad.
Now you have a better look at how and where your hood is attached with the safety latch. I broke my safety latch off a while ago when I changed grille's that didn't have a spot for the thing that sticks out. I took a blow torch to it and removed it.
