'93 190e 2.3 Cooling issues
I have a 1993 190e 2.3 and neither the aux fan nor the clutch fan works.
I pulled the wires from both sensors/switches and jumpered across each (one at a time with the engine off, ignition on) Shorting the Aux fan (wire side) did nothing...no clicks...no nothing. I had checked the fuses already, so I am assuming that my next check should be the relay. But I dont know which relay it is or where it is located.
Shorthing the Magnetic clutch fan wires - the clutch engaged - Assume now that the switch is bad...is there a replacment switch that will start the fan at a lower temp...would like my motor to run a tad cooler that the 100C setpoint.
Just bought the "Cool Harness" and hope this will work as advertised - just have to find that blasted relay...I think it is probably in the cluster located on the drivers side close to the firewall, but cant identify which one it is.
Thanks for the help...sorry so long a post, but I wanted to be thorough.
