replacement center console?

replacement center console?
Just joined the forum, and am amazed at all the great advice. I have a 93 190e and it's been a great car.
Question: The wood-grain center console, with the holes for the window switches, is in bad shape and I was wondering if anyone knows where to find a replacement one. I tried taking it off and cleaning, sanding, painting it, but it still looks bad. I found replacement switches available online and other parts for that area, but not the center console itself.
BTW, thanks for the idea posted about replacing the cassette holders with a map pocket or cup holder. Don't get to use those cassette holders very much :P

I hit the junkyards hard, I found one in decent shape for 5.00 (us) the problem is
a lot of the plastic tabs on the underside get broken that hold the switches in place.
keep looking though, took me almost 6 mos to find a good one . good luck
