Throttle Cable End - Rubber Fitting?
In driving our 1991 190 2.3 the other day the gas pedal went to the floor. I idled the car to the side of the road and opened the hood.
It was easy to see that the throttle cable had worked its way loose from the throttle linkage. I turned the throttle cable ball end sideways so it would stay locked on the throttle linkage.
There appeared to be a rubber fitting that fit inside the linkage that holds the throttle cable end in place. Over the years this rubber fitting looks to be pretty beat up which I think caused the cable end to slip out.
Can I get this rubber fitting as a separate part or do I need to go get an entire throttle cable?
