Turbo whoosh type sound from 190E
hello people,
I drive a 1985 model 190E 2L and last night as I was driving it, when I accelerated it started to make a turbo whoosh sound which gets louder and louder all the way until it changes gear (auto) at 5000rpm as well as the usual roar of the engine. It's a real cool sound and I reckon it sounds good but I am just concerned if this sound means that anything in the engine is broken. If anyone knows about this could they please tell me if anything is wrong? The car is completely stock and all I did before I left was top up the oil and spray the belts with belt grip (they were chirping like a bird).
