Bought a 1990 190e 2.6 about 3 months ago and the engine temp gauge has been point to ~70C and I have not hear any engine fan noise. Now the engine temperature goes up close to 80C when running and raise to 90 when in idle. The engine fan start spinning and make pretty loud noise.

Is this normal?

normal engine temp is 87C so fans should come on 90-95C or when the A/C is running
