1992 190e Car Audio Help Please
Hey guys
So i took out the stock deck and speakers and put in aftermarket.
i put in a Sony Xplod deck, Infinity speakers in front, and MTX in back
now my question is, how do i get the door speakers to work? even the stock door speakers would be fine and if i can get the wiring for them then ill definitely put aftermarket door speakers
i took out the plastic siding in the trunk on the passenger side and found the amp, i just need help on how to get those to start working lol
(all 6 speakers were working when it was stock)
any help would be appreciated, and also if anyone has any recommendations on which door speakers i should put, and if i should change the stock amp?
thanks!!

so ive been doing some research, and some people have just wired the door speakers to the rear speakers, and powered these through the amp
can anyone confirm this?

nope
The factory wired those 2 ohm door mid bass drivers to the amp in the trunk. The signal to it was tapped off a rear speaker (which is 6 ohms).
So if someone thinks it's possible to drive both the mid bass and rear speakers by one amp, they need to pay attention to impedance ratings and balance as necessary.
For me, it was easiest to replace the head unit, install new speakers, and then tap a high signal off the rear speaker to the amp for the mid bass speakers. The remote power on lead from the head unit turns the amp on.
