More power and cleaner burning 210 diesel
The 190D Turbo runs cleaner, shifts smoother, and accelerates better after disconnecting the EGR valve. Buy a vacuum branch fitting at your nearest Mercedes dealer. Part# 601-078-06-45.
Locate the vacuum line coming off the top of the vacuum pump on the front of the engine. It feeds a rubber vacuum fitting shaped like a capitol "I". remove the vacuum tubes from the left side of the fitting and attach the right side tubing to the new "F" shaped fitting, and the vacuum line from the pump to the bottom. Your 201 diesel is fairly old and your extremely expensive EGR is probable history. If you havent removed and cleaned all the sludge out of the crossover pipe lately do so and enjoy the improvements. P.
