16v Header
My names Justin R and I recently just opened up my business called
High Point Garage HPG located in Portland, OR
So to get straight to what you guys wants. Who's interested in a high rise head for a 16v 190e engine?
If there is enough interest I could start a group buy to cut the cost down.
let me know what your guess think, Let me know if you want to see anything else built for the 190e

Considering how tight the engine bay is around the steering I'm sure tubular exhaust headers that can bolt up to the stock system ahead of the precats would be popular. I'm gonna get charged at least 2-grand to have a set fabricated up for my 2.6 and it was hard enough just finding someone willing to do it.
It's kind of a seriously important bit for them though. I've been gradually getting to know this engine over the past few weeks and untapping a little extra grunt without major surgery is a trick. About all I can do is port/polish the head, I've sourced a hi-po cam grind from a German tune shop I'll have sent and locally installed, the head is being sent away so they'll shave it a tad to bring the dynamic compression back up from the overlap loss, but all this is going to be worth 20hp or so if I'm lucky. That's fine by me but the bit that's restricting whatever potential I can get out of it like this is the exhaust headers. It's so tight in there swapping out for a tubular set of primaries is difficult and expensive.
So that, for the sixes at least (2.6 or the 3.0 M103 swaps that are popular for these, same everything). An off the shelf tubular exhaust set, well that'd just be magic and save some bikkies.

I like what I have read. I am actually in the process of making a full exhuast including header for the m103 engine in the w124 chassis. I don't see why the m103 engine swapped into the 190 would have a problem runnin my header. But then again, I've never done the swap. Im goin to pick up a header and take some picks of the factory 190e engine back and post pics. Group buy possible in the works for the 16v header. I can gaurentee it won't be 2gs, saying that though. The more people that are apart of the group buy, the less expensive They will be. Ill be posting pics before the day is over.

what type of intake manifold can you cook up? i want to get rid of the big air box on top of my 2.3 8v 190e and put a ram/cold air str8 into the intake manifold. im having a hard time finding an intake manifold that brings its air from the front instead of the top like the stock one does.

Making a intake manifold wouldn't so much be the problem. I can get a 70mm throttle body 4 injector with pigtails a plenum get a flange made for the 16v head. It would be a forward facing intake manifold, but then you need to run a completely aftermarket fuel management system. Get a harness, computer, wire it up, if there's enough people interested in a group buy just for a intake manifold. I would totally be interested in doing it. My parts list of ideas is slowly getting bigger and bigger for many models of the Benz chassis. Will be posting group buys here shortly.

16V Headers
Just ran buy the shop and took a couple pics of the 16v we have sitting in the back. Here is some pics of the factory header.
So I'm in the process of moving and most likely wont be able to start on the header until next week. I'm going to start a group buy for both a header setup and full exhaust system for the 190e within the month.
One quick question before I head off.
Is anyone interested in a 16v or 8v Turbo manifold?
Thanks Justin R
