I may have a chance to trade a 1998 SL500 Sport w/74k miles for a 1987 190e-16v w/109k miles. Haven't seen the car yet but the owner is supposed to have a full repair/maintenance history.
My question is: are there any specific things I should be looking for on the 16v? I have a good amount of experience with cars (about 55 years) so know to look for things like rust, frame damage, leaks, running condition, etc. However, what I don't know is if the 16v has any specific weak points or things that should should have to done for proper maintenance.
