1984 190E - What's it worth?
Hello all, I'm new here. We have a 1984 190E with over 200K miles. The interior is in pretty good shape other than cracks in the dash and the center console. Probably due to Arizona heat. It needs paint and the wheels need to be refinished. I don't want to spend a lot of money on it and would really like to sell it. Just wondering if someone can give me some idea what it's really worth today.

Additionally, it is a little hard to start. We were told it needed a carb actuator? Anybody know anything about this?

A high mileage '84 that needs work isn't going to get you much, perhaps $2K if lucky. That's about how much you'd be putting into it to get it running right and cosmetically in shape. The thing to note about the '84 is that due to a change in production in January '85, there are some unique parts on the car (valve train, belt system, entire hood, cowl and windshield parts.) About the only thing it has going for it is a slightly lower compression ratio, so it's a slightly better candidate for boost, but only if the engine internals are in good shape.
