Random Downshift, No upshift
A while back I had to replace my kickdown switch due to my 190 refusing to upshift. Voila it worked life was good, the car shifted a little hard, but its always done that no big deal. About two days later I was driving and it started to randomly downshift and then refuse to upshift from there. I've adjusted the bowden cable and that's not helped as far as I can tell and I had to leave the car be as I have far too much going on to try and tear into something I know nothing of. Here's essentially what its been doing and my thoughts:
I took the 190 out to drive it around to see if there were any specific conditions that caused the random downshifting and it didn't do it for quite some time, but once it had done it once it was constantly doing it or simply not shifting out of second (always gets stuck in second). I also checked the fluid level, and it is overfilled. So simply put does anyone think maybe it being overfilled and brown could be causing this issue or am I looking at something more internal such as the centrifugal governor or something within the valve body? Thanks for your time. If I can't get it sorted quickly I'll just have to take it to a shop to get a diag on it.
