Overheating with thermostat out..never did before

Mercedes 1993 190e 2.6 brabus
Overheating with thermostat out..never did before
Car was running hot at idle..would go down while driving..mechanic took out thermostat..and now cannot drive car..overheats within 5 minutes..what could be the issue..

This one is a very simple problem. Install a working thermostat. And find a real mechanic that understands the basic stuff. I don't have time to write up the why of the problem, breifly with out a regulator and depending on the ambient temp that the radiator see's and coolant flow is the why.
