I've been looking around websites and most don't mention 2.5s, only 2.3s. I s it because the 2.5s are rare compared to the 2.3s? I've been told that 2.5s never made it to the US.

Just want to know abit of history....

The 2.5-16 was not sold in North America, only Europe/Asia. As a result, the engine was never certified for US emissions, which would make importing one quite expensive until the car reaches 20 years old. Given the non-US setup, the 2.5-16 was a nice upgrade from the 2.3L, but it has been criticized as being too much like the 2.3 version.
