The aux fan is triggered by a temp sensor on the engine block. Perhaps it needs to be R&R'd.

Engine temp for fan

I think the fan comes on at 110 degrees. I have to keep telling my wife it's OK to runn at 100+ in heavy traffic.

According to the gauge mine come on at 110 and turns off at 100! But the 190's did run warmer in traffic. Due to a smaller radiator. Try some water wetter and that should help a hair, it will not heat up as quickly. The only time you need to worry is if it gets to 120+ temps. These were known to go to 110 all the time. Installing a resistor on the temp sensor, search for Cool Harness to get one that is plug and play, you can lower the turn on temp for the fan. Get the lowest one and temps should never go over 100! The fan will turn on at like 92 with the lowest model. Some say the fans turn on at 100 but mine never have and I have a brand new sensor. I am thinking my temp gauge is off a hair, since if I use a thermometer to check the temp in the overflow tank I get 100 when it turns on instead of the 110 the gauge reads. Also I wired my electric aux fan to run instead of the clutch fan since my clutch is broke. It cools the radiator much more quickly when idling in traffic as it is spinning full bore instead of what the clutch fan does at water pump speed. Starts cooling as soon as it kicks in.
