Hi all,
I missing this vacumm line from my engine. I want to know where it's connected to in the engine.
Right now I just plug it up to stop vacuum leak.

Don't know much about 16V cars. Two questions/comments
(1) Do 16V come in auto transmission? If so that is the regulator for the auto.
(2) If you have a manual transmission that should be plugged as it has no regulator and no other use as far as I know. My 12V manual transmission has the same post plugged from the factory.
Take this with a grain of salt, I have only seen the 16V in car shows, never had the pleasure to own one.

The 16v did come in manual or automatic form. I've seen both sell on the various online auction sights with the manual ones selling for more money. Unfortunately, they were too expensive when I was making my W201 purchases.

Likewise, the '89 2.6 was my very first new car. At the time I barely could afford it and leased it instead. But is was a manual transmission sitting in the showroom so I could not resist! I believe cosworth's were nearly twice the price, not even close to my budget.

The 16vs were well out of my budget as well. It took everything I could come up with to afford the one I bought as well. 31 years later, I couldn't be happier. My car's color/ interior combination wasn't available on the 16v or even the even more out of my budget EVos and imho, it's a stunning combination so that's my consolation. I'm all too happy to ride the coattails of the ever rising values of the more powerful and expensive W201 varieties.
