Does anyone know if I could fit in a C Class rims or an SL rims into my 190E? Because alot of people claim that it's not possible because of the
offset. What's an offset?

Thanks!

C-Class probably, SL probably not . . . again because of the offset (ET in German) dimension, which is the distance between the rim's centerline and the mounting surface (hub side) of the rim. Oddly, rims are spec'd in both inches and mm. The diameter and width are in inches, while the offset is in millimeters. For example, if a rim has an ET of 29, there are 29mm between the centerline of the rim and the internal hub face. So the bigger the number the farther the rim goes in, towards the center of the car, while the smaller number pushes the rim towards the outside of the car. That covers "positive" offset. "Negative" offset is where the hub mounting face is beyond the centerline.

Hey thanks man! But let's say I get spacers , would other rims work? The thing is over here it's damn hard to get rims specifically for the 190E and I don't think it's that cheap either. At the moment am using 15s and would like to get 17s.
