New Front Seat?
I have a 1986 190D with about 120k on her. The car runs fine and looks almost like new as it was garaged and babied from day one. The interior needs a bit of work, mostly the front seat. It has a tear in the leather/mbtex right in the center which makes the car look like a clunker. Is there any place I can either buy just the drivers seat? I have heard you can buy a seat cover and some new seat padding. Has anyone done this or have any suggestions? Many thanks!

There are several options that you can go. First, you can swap the seat bottom with the passenger side. Second, you can hope to find a good condiiton bottom at a recycler. Third, you can order a new horsehair pad and cover from places like adsitco.com or http://www.worlduph.com/mb19.htm

New Front Seats
I have 2.3 16 with black leather seats. When i got the car the seats were so damn worn. What I did is get them re-apolstered. This was the best solution. Otherwise the darn seats are like 1000 bux from Recaro. The seats look as if they came out of the factory.
