2 Questions about the 190E
I am considering purchasing a 1991 190E 2.6 from a buddy of mine, but there were a couple things I noticed on the test drive.
The clip holding the driver side sun visor was broken, so from time to time, the sun visor would flop down into my line of sight. I've looked around a little bit for a replacement, but they've been pretty hard to come by. Does anyone know where I can get a sun visor clip?
And the second issue was the steering wheel. It's too low and hits my knees. I couldn't figure out how to adjust it, or tilt it up. I was hoping it's possible to tilt the steering wheel up or to push it back/pull it out as the wheel constantly rubs against my knee and it bugs me.
If anyone knows the answers to these question, fire back at me. Thanks.

The W201 body style vehicles did not have tilt as an option.
The clips can be got at the dealership and it is under $10 for both as I recall when I got mine.

is there any way I can add this functionality? I've read about people putting on a telescoping column or a tilting steeing wheel. This would be great, as not only is the low wheel uncomfertable, but it's also potentially dangerous. Thanks

Adding tilt or telescoping steering column would not be a "bolt on" modification, but with enough time and money, isn't anything possible?
As another potential, albeit cheaper, remedy, consider getting an earlier model lower dash panel, without the knee bolster to get more room for your legs and a smaller diameter airbag steering wheel, possibly from a Sportline or compatible model to replace the OEM wheel.

the other thing
depending on what type of seats you can try lowering the drivers seat. I know that on the powered options you can change the seat height axis.

1991 300E
I found that the 190E's with power seats have a greater range of adjustment than the manual seats. I'm 6'4 and could sit comfortably in my 1992 190E with power seats, now getting in and out was kind of difficult but my legs didn't rub the steering wheel my head didn't touch the roof. My in laws had a 1989 190E with manual seats and I could never get the seat to go down far enough to prevent my head form touching the roofliner. Bad news was my 190E got totaled, good news is that I upgraded to a 300E and the telescoping steering wheel is a much appreciated option. I will admit though, the 190E was much more nimble and fun to drive than the 300E, albeit more cramped and less luxurious. Kind of like the difference between a miata and a buick.
