Biggest Tire...

Does anybody know what the biggest tire that can be used with the 190E is? I just recently purchased a 190E, but I noticed that when I go over big bumps/dips the front tires rub a little (or a lot if the car is full). I guess they're rubbing on the wheel well. I've checked the tires, and they show absolutley no wear and tear from rubbing, so I'm assuming this is a minor problem that can be fixed easily. I bought the car with what looks like 17" rims on it. I checked out some other sites, but I don't understand what the abbreviations they use mean (as in 185/65-15). If someone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Before anyone can recommend tire sizes, you'll have to confirm the rim size, including the width and offset. In the example you gave:

185/65-15

185 = the number in millimeters of tire width across the tread

65 = the sidewall measurement as a percentage of the width, or 65% of 185mm = 120mm

15 = the wheel rim diameter that the tire can be mounted on, in inches.

The distance from the bead of the rim to the tread surface of the tire, in other words, the amount of sidewall that the tire has. The lower the number, the less sidewall you have, which increases ride harshness and increase the risk of damage to the rim of the wheel when you dip into a pothole.
