Trouble Popping the Hood
Hey-
I'm having some trouble popping my hood. Is there a trick to it? I pulled the release, and tugged on the latch in the grill, but I got nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciate it.

Hood Release
If you were able to pull the inside lever to release the hood and the handle came out from the grill then i would have to agree with Pawsh.........If the handle did not come out enough to grab it then you could very well have a broken hood cable

The latch could be busted too
If you see the latch is free floating use needle nose pliers to grab
the hood catch, the "tongue" might have broken off of the end, however
theoretically it wouldn't make sense that it pops out when released and slides
back in when the hood is closed (or isn't it?)
good luck

When I pull the lever, the handle definately pops out. I just pull it, I feel resistance and a little pop, like the latch is free, but the hood doesn't open. When I close the hood, the handle goes back into the grill. I don't think anything is broken, but yet and still I can't get the damn thing open. The mechanic can, the guy who sold it to me can, I just can't seem to get it right! Please let me know if there's a trick to it- I feel like a moron!

You have to pull the grey handle in the hood and hold it out while lifting the hood with the other hand! That is all there is to it.
