Clock
I have a question that you could help me with. I'll be replacing my clock this week, and I need to know how to remove the hands. I bought a clock/tachometer unit to replace the whole thing, but a book fell off my desk and smashed the tachometer dial. Now I have to separate the clock from the tachometer; seems easy enough but those dials sure are delicate.

The easiest way is to use two teaspoons, one in each hand, and use the tips of the spoons as levers, lifting the hands off the spindle by rocking the spoons on their curves.

now that
have to hand it to you MTI - never would have guessed that the spoon trick would work. Just out of curiousity but would a fork work better (as long as the twines were wider then the shaft).
