Mercedes recommends a complete coolant change every 2 years, with the proper coolant, not the cheapo green stuff, due to the aluminum parts in the system.
Hate to break this to you, but muddy brown coolant is a symptom of oil mixing in with the coolant, possibly through the broken/blown headgasket or a warped head. Check your oil the next time you change it for signs of contamination with coolant, and regardless, have the compression checked in all cylinders.

Radiator
If you do find that you have a blown head gasket or some other major damage to your engine still have your Radiator replaced or have it serviced at a Radiator shop, don't rely on just draining it and refilling. Also i would replace all of the hoses, top and bottom plus waterpump and thermostat. Your call!!!!!!!

The two obvious systems to check would be the engine temp sensor, located up near the front of the engine on the intake side; and the viscous fan motor that controls the aux fan.
