Tach gauge issue?
My father owns a 1986 190D with 120k miles on it. He has noticed lately that after the glow plug warms up the tach goes past 6000rpm even though the car is not running. When you turn it over once the glow plug light goes off, the tach falls back to normal and there are no other problems.
Any ideas?
