Tracking Down Vacuum Leak
At any rate, after hooking up the vacuum line onthe 6th tube of the intake manifold to the transmission control module, I think I may have found the cause. But I'm not sure where it hooks up. It is located on what I believe is the fuel tank vent valve. And seems to lead under the intake manifold.
Any help as to where this might connect would be fantastic.
At this point I feel a vacuum line or two are not connected to their proper places.
The inlet at the AFM plate has an OD of 110mm. You'll need to cobble together some reducers so a typical smoke machine will seal up to it properly.

However, I'm pretty sure you also have a benign vacuum leak in your HVAC system. That is the only thing that would effect your econo-meter in such a major way.
For that you will need a Mity-vac. Another $60. Does playing with the HVAC buttons affect your econo-gauge? If so, it is usually one or more of the vacuum pods.
