AMGfest ’07 – The Most Ambitious AMG Meet - Cajun Style!

AMG Friends: It’s time again for us to gather for an AMG Meet like no other. We’ve had Atlanta meets since 2003 and each year the event got bigger and better! From the humble beginnings of a photo shoot, shop tour and mountain drive to the dyno runs, drag racing and even special appearances by AMG Product Management as well as the AMG Private Lounge with the SLK55 Black Series for the last meet, this next meet is sure to blow you away!

Can you handle 5 days of AMG bliss?

“Wolfy” from the AMG Private Lounge and I have been preparing and plotting and with some luck and a little magic have developed what we feel will be “THE” AMG Meet which raises the bar to it’s highest level ever for an enthusiast event! We will be TAKING OVER a very famous historic Southern Plantation located in Iberville Parish, Louisiana for a truly one-of-a-kind experience, hosted by AMG enthusiasts for AMG enthusiasts.

We have arranged a full list of activities and social events that are scheduled to include:

Wednesday – September 26th
Arrival / Travel Day
Welcome Dinner

Thursday – September 27th
Private Track Day (Road Course) – No Problem Raceway
Special Dinner Arrangements

Friday – September 28th
Private Drag Racing Day (1/4 Mile) – No Problem Raceway
Special Dinner Arrangements

Saturday – September 29th
Deep Sea Fishing / Snorkeling / Day on the Gulf of Mexico (very limited space)
Special Dinner Arrangements

Sunday – September 30th
Depart / Travel Day

We are encouraging participants to bring their spouses as they will not want to miss the Southern Hospitality and elegance of Nottoway Plantation. There is ample shopping (and Casinos!) in nearby Baton Rouge or they can join us at the track!

What’s the catch? Here it is….in order to keep the event unique as well as intimate, we will cap attendance at only 20 cars for the track day and 20 cars for the drag day. You will have more than enough track time and drag runs to satiate your thirst for high performance fun! At the same event, we’ll be able to indulge ourselves with fantastic Cajun cuisine and pamper ourselves in this First-Class setting.

Price? How about $250 for the whole weekend?!? Of course hotel / B&B and meal costs are on your own/additional. Due to the limited availability, pre-registration will be required. Additional specifics on the registration process will be posted shortly.

Pete,

We're looking into that....shouldn't be a problem, as long as accommodations are available. Keep in mind....all the track day 'action' will be Thursday and Friday.

Ah yes.......the video and pictures are pleasant reminders of Mother Nature's distaste for Germany's finest.
