Ran a C6 today
Something must be in the air, I've had more runs this week than the past 3 months.
To say the least, it wasn't pretty. I was coming up to a red light and a black c6 pulls behind me. I hear a few blips of his exhaust with him sporting a big grin. So the light turns green I ease into the throttle to bait him. He takes the bait I see his nose raise and I floor it. After hitting some high digits I looked in the rearview mirror and he's back 7-8 car length. We get to the next light and he pulls up next to me and asks if the 55 was stock. I said yes. He could not believe the 55 was that fast. He said "Jesus that thing is fast..I gave it everything and you kept pulling". He said his car was not stock (headers intake exhaust) and was pushing 470hp. I complimented his car and said these things (55's) are monsters sort of the ultimate wolf in sheep’s clothing. He laughs and said, "it sure is". Cool guy that now has a new found respect for the beast.

If Vadim got the slightest jump on the 3 horn honk, I had not a prayer to make it back into the race, so this is actually another possibility of your encounter though you describe seeing his nose lift before you floored it so
If he was that modded he should easily be neck to neck w/you, or walked you, sounds like he needs to turn his key fob over to the nearest dealership
BTW I'd rather have an E55 211 any day over my C6
