Wiper blades

Just wondering how many miles or what time frame that most of you folks are getting on a set of wipers? I'm at 22000 miles and mine are beginning to shudder across the windshield. How much are they for a pair?

I think they are about $50 bucks for a pair. Fairly inexpensive IMO.

You can mention DTB P-B-82.30/366c the dealer will inspect the blades for wear and replace as needed, thoroughly clean windshield, verify use of correct washer fluid, check washer nozzle adjustment, and if noise persists check and adjust the wiper arm angle adjustment under warranty.

Released MAR07 titled "Adjusting Wiper Arms" and addresses wiper chattering/noisy for ALL passenger models.

Not sure how well this will work with the MB (although I suspect there shouldn't be any issue)........ RainX!

Works like magic - put it on my wife's GX470 and it's like, well, magic - the rain simple beads off and you don't even have to turn on your wipers no matter how hard it rains.

I've used it before and it is good stuff. Might give it a try. My blades wipe well right now but they shudder across the screen as they wipe.

Not sure if RainX will fix the shudder, but logic dictates that it should.

If I were you, I would not jump and put in on my car just yet. Call up your MB tech and ask if the RainX polymers will cause bonding problems with your hitech MB glass

S classes get free wiper blades exchanged under warranty in the first two years. (At least that's the case here in Canada). It should be the same in the U.S.

Very doubtful. If I can make time, I'll swing by or call my SA and ask. I'd be 100% surprised if they do.

What was the outcome of this? Did you talk to your SA? I am at 17,000 miles and am hearing this shudder... It's more noticeable now that we are having heavy rains in Northern Cali... Did they replace them under warranty?

Dependant on the wear status of the wiper blades (not more than 50%) mention DTB S-B-82.30/366d JUL08 adjusting wiper arms, and S-B-82.35/621 maintaining wiping quality / controlling noise for warranty coverage PM your email address if you want copies.

I've made a bizzarre discovery. Many of us have noticed that if we leave our turn signal stalk on intermittent settings that after completing a turn, the wiper sweeps across the windshield one time for no apparent reason. (No rain in sight)
Today I discovered that it does it only after making a left turn if the stalk is left on intermittent postion 1, but if the stalk is left on in the intermittent position 2, the single wipe occurs after completing either a left or a right turn.

I've seen many complain about this, however mine has never done this. It has a couple times randomly on the freeway, but that's just about it.

I have used this but under certain conditions it will cause your window to fog up...

C230 Kompressor (Totalled)...just got a 08 E350
RainX

I had the dealer changed the wiper blades about a few month ago. After applying RainX the other day, it cause my blades to shudder like crazy. I thought I needed to replace the blades again but I cleaned it out with regular Windex...the shudder is gone!

I don't know if it is a coincidence but please pitch in if someone else has this problem with RainX.
