Exhaust shop in DC Area(NoVa)

Hey guys....So after some of the problems I have had somewhere on my exhaust I have decided to change it around some. I am looking for a shop around here, preferably in NoVa that will do a custom exhaust work for me. I want to do straight pipes just before my secondary cats(delete these) to right before my mufflers. I had already done the resonator delete but want to go further. So right before the secondary cats all the way to where my resonator was. So basically about 5-6 ft dual straight pipes.
Can anyone recommend someone around here that would do a good job?

I have a place in NoVa that did work for Moore Cadi/Hummer. I'm thinking of going and talking to them. PM me maybe we can see if they can hook us up!

what are your views on the resonator delete in terms of sound and power.

I'm interested too. I removed the resonators on my CLK and it definitely sounds better. Would like to hear opinions on the E55. Thanks

Resonator delete makes it sound more raspy; no power gains. Anxious to hear what the secondary cat delete with straight pipes sounds like.

well I met up with the guy yesterday. Seems really cool and gave me an incredible quote of $350 for all piping from before secondary cats to just past where my resonator delete was.(that piping it coming out too)
He is also going to remove all of my heat sheilding down the exhaust and line the backside with 1/2" Dynamat sound insulation to help keep exisisting and future exhaust noise from entering the cabin. Should keep majority of rumble outside of the car.
He siad he couldnt do it til Saturday and that doesnt work for me so we scheduled for monday.
i will take before and after pics of what is being done and will post a sound clip of the exhaust after its done. Because I am improving my exhaust airflow i hope to gain some expra ponies as a result
Will let you all know monday night

Check out the thread i started to hear what the exhaust sounds like without any cats or resonators with 3" straight pipes

Well if it sounds like that I will be happy It doesnt sound too much different then that right now, no res. Without the cats i can see it being a little different and lounder.
Thats what we are installing Dynamat all along the heat sheilds. Should keep the sound outside the car.

Please post your results. I live in Manassas and have been thinking of doing a little exhaust work. You're getting a "smokin" deal because it took $350 just to remove the resonators from my CLK55.

I will be doing before and after pics, plus I will be doing a couple audio clips. Probably a before and after. My before audio clip will be of just the Res delete, since that is what I have already done. The second clip will be secondary cat delete all the way back to the res delete. I am having this guy redo my res delete which was previously done so there will be less welds and look cleaner.
I cant wait!
I called him late last night on his cell and he said parts are ready for my arrival

hey all...well after 8-9 hours my exhaust is completed. Sounds great. I definitely notice a change in the exhaust note. Its very different from just the resonator delete. I will try to post the video of it all hopefully by tomorrow. I am exhausted from a long day there so just gonna post pictures tonight.

Heres the link...

ok all...
I am uploading the video/sound clip I put together...gonna take a few minutes since its a big file.
I do want to mention how much more responsive the car feels now. I went from the 2.75" pipes to 3" pipes, deleted the secondry Cats, no res as before. We cleaned up most of the angels and made it as straight and free flowing as possible. I am not sure how much HP I added to the car, but have REALLY noticed a big difference, not only just in sound but in additional performance. Looking forward to a track day sometime soon!

Yeah sounds great driving around too while under load.
We also removed ALL of the heat sheilding surrounding the exhaust front to back and installed 1/2" Dynamat sound proofing to help keep exhaust noise out of cabin. Works great. Only hear how nice the exhaust is when the windows are open.
