Why isn't it saving my Login info?
Ever since the update I keep having to re-log back in everytime I come back to this site. I clicked "remember me" each time but it isn't working. All the other sites I use save the username and password.

Having the same problem, clearing the cookies did not fix it for me either.
When I log in, it takes me to the redirect page then back to the login page. If I hit the New Post Today button, the destination page recognizes me and now the banner has the New Posts button. Everything now works fine.
When I leave and return to the site, I still can't log in but the New Posts Today button still works as above.
Adrian - how bout some pics of the Falcon.

Still not working. Is anyone looking into this or are we getting the same treatment from MBWorld's corporate masters that we have become accustomed to from the MB dealers?

My problem is solved. I replaced existing forum bookmarks from before site upgrade with new bookmarks.

This is very odd. When I go to the forums main page and login, it doesn't work, but then if I go into any of the forums and posts it works.
I'm familiar w/ the forum software used here, as its used elsewhere and I don't have this issue elsewhere. Something is clearly fubar'd.

After reading Konigstigers post, I looked at my bookmark and then manually typed in mbworld.org to see what would happen. It looks like mbworld.org got translated to https://mbworld.org/forums/index.php and that page remembered my login.
I compared it to my book mark and the only difference is that my bookmark is missing the www part. I bookmarked the new url and everything works fine.
Obviously someone at IB made a change but no one is fessing up.

I am also having the same problem...a temporary fix that has seemed to work just fine for me: I log in with my Username and password and then I wait a couple seconds after I hit login/enter and then when it comes up with the page again I close out IE and reopen a new MBWORLD page. It will then display the page with my login.

This is still happening.... I feel bad for complaining, I mean, this forum is at no cost to us and its a great help... but...
Surely you guys make a lot of money with all the forum sponsors and such, so I'm surprised you havent been able to fix this yet. Its getting really annoying that every time I visit the site I have to relogin to check my private messages.

Any update?
Just wondered if this was fixed for most people. I just upgraded my browser to Firefox 3.x and thought that was the problem until I found this thread. When I enter name and password and hit ENTER, the password data disappears just before I'm taken to the redirect screen. I am logged in, but the user name and password area are still blank and when I hover over a thread title, nothing appears. Is this the same problem others had / are having?

That feature has never worked for me, I even asked my IT guy and he said it could be the way my computer configures cookies (or something like that, I'm not too computer savy), he went in made some changes and it still did not work, he is at a loss. I have tried it on my office desk top, my lap top and my home desk top and it does not work on any of them.

STILL not working. No one has updated this thread. Has anyone here been contacted by any admins regarding this? By the way, when I hover over thread titles I don't get the alt/title popup either.

Part of the problem is that the login page and new links are all done through the domain www.mbworld.org, while the old forum links, and some other pages, are done through forums.mbworld.org. This may not seem important, except session cookies (where your login information is saved) depends upon the site url, and www.mbworld.org is different from forums.mbworld.org.
The lesson of the day? Update your bookmarks Make sure that the url where you log in and the page you are viewing is www.mbworld.org, not forums.mbworld.org (or any other subdomain).
However a word of warning; since links to other posts in the forums are done with the old style (i.e. - forums.mbworld.org/blahblah), it may appear that you have been logged out but you actually haven't. Part of the reason the old links are still valid is so that people can still use the old-style links in all the threads. Unfortunately, because of this login cookie problem (which is a side effect of browser security; you don't want another web site reading or writing your login credentials for another site, so they are purposely kept separate), this will continue to be an unavoidable problem for the near future.
