Words truly cannot convey the horror I feel over this concept.

Hands free driving provides the opportunity to smash the screen with both fists.

Saw this ad thing when reading lately, what a terrible idea, but wonder if most will ever notice it... like listening to the radio full of ads.

And another for Ford - don't miss this one, about reporting speeders and sending info to police and whoever.

Hopefully they are just holding the patent to prevent another automaker from doing something so stupid. But then again it is Ford, so who knows...

I dont hear any commercials in my car. I have none on my phone. None on the internet, including YouTube. I don't watch TV except for football, which I record, so I can skip the commercials. If this was unblockable it would be an unquestioned dealbreaker for me: I greatly dislike commercials.

I'm going to have to ask one of my grandkids, what they think of it. To me, it's hard to believe anyone would tolerate such an abusive intrusion in their cars.

It will then drive you right to jail for destroying someone else’s intellectual property that will have the same rights as a human.

One could read this as ford will now license it to all of the highest bidders from the tech and auto and marketing worlds. The sad part is that people don’t realize they sign away their constitutional right to privacy because they don’t even understand that they had it in the first place and what decisions reinforce that right…. And they pay for that privilege.

Everyone involved are idiots, and are unfortunately our neighbors, families and voters.

You would have to ask them what they would pay to not hear the commercials, or in what instance would they watch the commercials if that was the only way they could get for example, tik-tok. Put a value on it. I’m not sure of anyone’s age but the follow up would be asking them if they understand why some see it as a problem. Education and values are truly generational, imo.

If that's the case then why not just put speed limiters on the cars so they can't go over 80mph? Or will the car itself report that you are speeding? Why would another person have to get involved?

A few years ago, I bought a used, 2018 Ford Transit 350 XLT passenger van. My wife likes to remind me that “you loved that van and it was the ONLY car I never heard you complain about.” She’s right! I bought it with 130,000 miles on it and it was great! If I had garage space for one, I’d order a new one tomorrow.
