Hi Everybody here!

I have a MB 220 cdi W210, 2000 mod.

Two days ago my car did'nt start. Instrument panel asked me to fill 1 litre engine oil. I did so and i could start my engine.

Today the motor dont start, when messuring level (its done automatic) i get message, "not possible". And i cant start the car.

The car is in level, in my garage.

Has anybody inn here a solution.

Thanks a lot in advance!

First use the oil dipstick to check your oil level - Fill to proper level. If it is already over-filled, remove the excess. If the car still doesn't start, you need to post the diagnostic codes so the forum can help you.

Hi

thanks for help. Oil is exactly between min and max on dipstick. How do i find diagnostic codes? Is it possible to get the software for PC?

I don't know how to pull the codes, but I would check the battery to make sure it's fully charged. It's located under the rear seat on the passenger side. Make sure it's not low on water and then check the voltage with a multimeter. You can also check the voltage using the heat/air conditioning display. Turn the ignition key to the "Run" position. Then press and hold the "REST" button until it goes into the diagnostic mode, then repeatedly press the left "Auto" button until the number "24" appears in the left display. The battery voltage will be in the right display.

Someone please check me on the procedure as I'm doing it from memory. I think 24 is the right code but not 100% sure.

Low oil by a liter

won't prevent the car from starting. Is your glow plug light on?
Get a multimeter and check battery charge or put it on a 10 amp charger over night.
Diesels use a lot of power to turn the starter against all that compression.

clarify won't start.Won't turn over at all?
Won't start when it cranks over.

measuring oil is not pissible on my cars ,either
