LI62.25-P-047124 JUL09 cracking noises from the area of the IC/firewall when cornering, during throttle lift-off and uneven roads, wax will be applied to spot welds.

LI42.45-P-047542 OCT09 – start abort or it may not be possible to start the engine when using Keyless Go, update ESP control unit software.
LI42.47-P-048216 OCT09 – “ESP Defective Service Required” with vehicle at stand still, ESP warning lamp flashes (yellow triangle) and transmission cannot be shifted out of park, vehicle can lock itself automatically and/or with ignition on and vehicle at standstill a speed of 160 MPH is displayed in the IC. Rpm sensors will be replaced and ESP control unit flashed.

LI46.20-P-048871 FEB10 rattling or dull knocking noise coming from the area of the steering system when driving over rough road except 4matic – steering system mounting bolts, play between thrust piece & steering rack, and/or outer/inner tie-rod ball joints will be checked and rectified.
LI54.10-P-049241 MAR10 – 221 Hybrid start/stop function the engine starts up again automatically after vehicle comes to a complete stop and/or charge level is insufficient ground line between the DC/DC converter is inadequate.
LI54.10-P-049295 MAR10 – 221 Hybrid will not start, if battery drops below 7V for longer than 5 seconds monitoring function logs various fault codes which prevent the engine from starting.

I think I had this issue after picking my '07 at the auction. I believe there is a position sensor resynchronization procedure involved. Have you tried opening the sunroof and then holding the button down to close, then once closed hold the button down in closing position for something like 7-10 seconds? I think I got the condition to clear up after I did that and the closing of the sunroof became a one-touch operation. Certainly the dealer would know my way doesn't work.
