Hello,

Was wondering if anyone know's how many C55's were made by MB and imported into the US? I'd love to know how many 2006 C55's (because that's what I drive) if that were available.

Does anyone know or is there is link where this information can be found?

If you search the forums it has been posted before on how many AMG's were built for the US market.

I wanna make a nameplate that says # xxx of 1,299

 

I didn't realize that there was so little of them made. No wonder I never see any on the streets.

 

@Jon - I know what you mean, I've seen *one* other when I used to work at CNN in downtown Atlanta, he had a silver one, outside of that, another C55 on the road is few and far between. I'm far from elitist but it's kinda cool to know there aren't very many around.

 

I see my twin (Diamond Black) multiple times a week here along with a black and silver one atleast once a week

but outside of Irvine (and meets)... yeah ive seen one other

 

I live just west of Atlanta....

C55 Kleemann Stage 7, Stage 8 was the highest, but included Kleemann Exhaust, Brakes & LSD

Mine has all items from Kleemann besides I have the Quaife LSD, Brembo Grand Turismo Big Brake Kit and the AMG Mufflers (stock)

So essentially its the stage 7 (/w kleemann cams)

 

I think the R63 is the rarest AMG which only around 40 ever made or so?

 

No wonder I never see any '04 C32's, heh.

I know the R63 is very rare. There was a run of odd SL's in the 90's that were very rare. SL60, SL70, and SL73 but good luck finding numbers on them (except the SL73...wiki says 85).

 

Sounds like there are quite a few of us in the Atlanta area. Im over in Duluth.

The numbers SoCalC55 mentioned, are they how many they made in total or just how many they exported to the US?

Fom doing research in th past, every site has the production number for 2006 C55s as 451. This list has that same number, so Id assume these are total? But that would just be a guess


Not that it affects any of our cars, but here is the list with 2007 & 2008 models. I think there is a typo around the SL55 section, they're missing the SL63, haha

I thought they stated the list was for US models produced, not overall worldwide.

 

Those numbers are from the AMG private lounge, which only lists the numbers that were exported to the United States.

I have the worldwide production numbers at home. Will post tonight.
