New to the site with a unique problem
A few days ago one of the little ones in our family got sick in the back seat of our 2009 C300 sedan. Fortunately, the window was open and most of it went outside but some appeared to have 'trickled' down the window frame behind the door panel. I cleaned the car inside and out and disinfected it quite a bit but there is still a lingering odor which I fear is some remnants of his vomit between the door. So my question is, how challenging is it to open up the rear passenger door panel and is there a write-up available?
I appreciate any help which you can provide in advance. I've done some extensive searching but haven't really come up with anything concrete. Thank you!
Just poor a 'little' neat non corrosive disinfectant where it went.Leave the window down in a sunny or airy spot when you can .
You will not notice it in a week.

, how much went down there? pints ? or maybe a 1ml ?Fermentation does not take place in dry material. Be patient. give it a week to dry out .Leave it out in the air.Have a little extra air flow when driving... there are a lot worse smells that a little spew.

Wrong fluid! You should use enzymes designed specifically for removing bio odors, not just masking them. Go to pet supplies and buy a good fluid for cat or dog pee. It takes up to one or two weeks, but it works. It actually destroys the matter that causes the odor. After applying, keep it moist for as long as possible, don't drive right away or dry it in any way, but the opposite - close all holes to keep it moist. Perhaps add a bit once in a while during the first day to keep it moist. Then wait a week or two and it should be all gone.
