Purge Valve issue
So I noticed a ticking noise. I have confirmed its the purge valve. It ticks and when I put my finger on it, it feels like a fast heartbeat. I have a few questions. What do i need to do to fix this? Do i need to replace the Purge Valve Fuel Vapor Canister and/or Regeneration Valve Fuel Vapor Recovery? If so, where can i get a new updated one at? I saw that there is a "new designed", but have no clue where to purchase it at.
Is there another fix to this?

Ah, well I'm not really mechanically inclined at all. So i wouldn't have a clue how to even do that, let alone put a new one in. I'm a newbie and attempting to learn.

Purge valve is an electrically-operated solenoid, that controls the amount of fuel vapor that is purged from the charcoal canister. it's controlled by the Engine ECU,,
When the engine is off, the purge valve is closed..

I realize this is an older thread but something needs to be addressed here. It is totally normal for a purge valve to make a ticking noise. The reason it ticks is because it is constantly opening and closing to prevent large gulps of air from getting sucked into the intake manifold which would upset the A/F ratio and confuse the fuel mixture regulation system. If it ticks it is likely doing its job.
