4th gear is 1:1
Typically, when comparing a 3rd gear pull to a 4th gear pull.. 4th reads higher (I dont know logic behind this, however I have some theories I just came up with)
Issue you may want to consider (Why some use 3rd)
Overall, people use both. Good luck, and post up your chart

- 4th gear takes a long time to wind out, so if you are doing multiple runs, heat could be a bigger problem
- If you have a speed limiter, it will kick in. Redline in 4th will be approx 180MPH
- Some dyno operators don't like taking dyno to 180+
Overall, people use both. Good luck, and post up your chart

I/C pump was working wonders today ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
446HP / 487 TQ
first two runs were IAT ~110-115; in 3rd gear
3rd run was in 4th gear, IAT at 122 - ran the dyno up to 202MPH!

so - corrected for 18% loss - that's 544HP and 594 ft-lbs!?!

And Dyno numbers mean squat... BUT, if the AFR chart is available, it will give you an indication as to where the tune is.
Is this the smaller upper, or lower pulley?
Pulls look good, and you should be happy!

Todd - Are the IATs you listed the peak numbers or where they started ? The IATs seem low given ~87 degrees ambient temperature, unless they are the starting point. I'd be curious to see your IATs at the end of the pull.

Well now that you found a dyno, stick with it to ascertain mods/gains. Jumping dynos is hardly a good comparison down the road. Best of luck and looking forward to your monster gains.

so considering 18% powertrain loss - your car made 524 at the crank from factory! (430RWHP / .82 = 524.39HP) that's pretty awesome

this is just the smaller S/C pulley - I'm starting to think that I DO have belt slip as I drove it the night before in Dyno mode and had some interesting squealing going on under the hood...
I'm happy, was shooting for 450 at the wheels - got really close - the last Dyno day, all I got only 401 (but different Dyno and IATs were **** that day) maybe changing the intake tubes for Pythons or the newer FT-P tubes would give a little more and if I tweak the exhaust more than stock it should hit no problem.
they won't help on the dyno
