That document is not about Canadian MLs in particular, nor does it say the 360 degree camera will be offered on any ML. It shows only that it will be offered on the new GL.
Unfortunately, in the initial summary section that document, the page that presents the 360 camera as new innovation says "standard on all model." But that page only appears again in the GL section...so unfortunately I think on "all models" really refers only to the GL line.
I understand that YYZ-E55 believes it will not happen until MY14. I wish I could see the source for that as well.
Another strange thing is the the 360 camera has been added to the W166 online manual. I don't know if that was a mistake, or that it means it might be added before MY14, or that is just prep for MY14.

The 360 camera is available as an orderable option from the factory for MY13 W166, but supply is so limited it won't be offered until MY14 for Canada. Perhaps USA will offer it on a special order basis.

YYZ: My 2013 ML-63 will be manufactured on 14th August. Do I still have a chance to include this option through the dealer. How much is the cost for this option. I am really very interested in this gadget.

My SA says its not an option for MY13 M-class, despite the fact that it's in the online manual for the W166.
Has anyone been able to order the 360 camera for their MY13 ML??

My MY13 order will be built in July-2nd week but this option was not available at that time. Hmm... Yes it seems that new GL will have this option but not sure for other models.

Thank you for that. I meant what I typed - W166. Just because the factory offers it doesn't mean that the MPC will offer it. And, as I said, in the case of this option, the supply is so limited that the MPC offering it would be fruitless.

Has anyone heard anything more about the 360 degree surround camera for U.S. MLs? I heard there was a delay on even for the GLs. Anybody heard anything at all?
I'm also wondering if it is something I could add later, when it is available. Although it would be some pricey parts and installation, that's for sure.
I had it on my BMW X5, and it was great.

Yep, pretty cool. But the fact that it is in this video means nothing about availability. An SA in SoCal told me that the demo GLs shown them a couple months ago had it. So, I don't know what the delay is, besides a supply chain issue.
I just hope there will be a retrofit available for the MY13 that I just bought. Otherwise, I'd be inclined to trade it in to get that 360 degree camera. I had one on my old X5 and it make parking so much easier and less worrisome that I was going to his something. The beeping sensors and proximity lights on the dash are nice on the ML, but not the same.

I wonder if the tsunami is still having an impact. Immediately afterwards rearview cameras had to be dialed back by many OEMs. I love the around view systems in cars I've reviewed with them--makes parking into a video game.

The 360 Surround Camera became available in October, for 2nd decade December builds, and/or add-on's to existing Dec order that had not yet been locked down by the factory.
360 Surround Camera is available going forward - although this feature is limited in availablity, at the low add-on cost it is a great feature.
Have delivered three/four of mine this past week - interesting feature - one note is that surround camera gets to be a bit distracting to the driver..
