Did anyone else happen to pick up a Black GL with brown interior? in Feb-ish in the area? Thats when ours originally came in, but it came in totally the wrong colour what a headache it was!

Got mine at the weekend, GL350 BLUETEC AMG SPORT - we only get 2 models in the UK, everything is great but had to add a few things to make it nice, still not convinced about the colour I chose, Diamond White - it doesn't seem to have been painted all over the car, the door pillars seem plain white.

By discount was only $2K. Ordered in Jan 2013. Deliver late June 2013
There is a puzzling hesitation/bucking when I first accelerate when left over night. Then it disappears. Bringing it in for service for the 3rd time in order to rectify.

Anthracite poplar (love it - really does look piano black)
Panorama roof (with power rear vent)
On/off-road pkg

Dealer removed rear badges on our request.
Dealer added MB branded weathertech and ordering one for third seat. They snap in if you removed the carpet mats.
Ordered 6/7 with expected Nov Allocation.
Late July, Was told that it was Bumped to Oct 1st Decade.
Built 10/11. Delivered 10/16.
Seats slightly stretched out a little, but not a major issue.
The glass roof over 3rd seats has a removable shade now. It's a fixed shape - like a mesh drying rack sort of. Not sure what you'd do with it if you removed it.
Will have it Opti-coated next week.
Tried the Distronic on a short trip yesterday. Worked great except when following in a long line of traffic, people would pass me on right and pull in between the space.
Love the color combo.
Now trying to figure out what to do for winter wheels and tires - these won't do.

The color looks great!! Can you post a picture of the third row sun shade. would be curious if it can be retrofitted to my 2013

I personally think tinted UV glass would be better so you can see out. I'm not sure under what conditions you would take it off and where you would put it.

TO me, it looks universal. It has 4 tabs that slide into the groove left by the roof liner where it meets the glass. 2 tabs on the one side are stationary. The other two rotate in/out with a lever so you can put it in without bending it.
I personally think tinted UV glass would be better so you can see out. I'm not sure under what conditions you would take it off and where you would put it.

Do you like the 20 inches wheels? how do they handle our snow? Dealer tells me car drivesa bit rougher with 20 inches. Appreciate your insights.

thats true top dash with dark brown is brown- but everything else black a sorry i didnt clarify myself earlier-- this time around i didnt want a dark interior at all. The only way to get beige was to get beige leather- i wouldve loved tan leather, not as dark not as light- but its not offered on the gl- however it is offered on other models..
