2014 E350 headlights??? Please help...

Does anyone know if it's possible for me to purchase the Premium Headlights for my 2014 E350 and just have them installed? Or is it only done when the factory is building the car? I'm really regretting not getting the premium headlight package, those eyes or Nice!!!

oh you can get them....but it will be SOOO expensive for MB to put them in after fact. Those specific lights might be very tough to locate though.

There was a thread about this not too long ago. Although I would imagine it to be very expensive , I do think it can be done. Would love to get more insight on this. I agree the lighting package looks awesome.

. Yeah I've been searching everywhere but I can not find them anywhere. I'm sure it'll be expensive for My MB dealer to install them. If I can get the lights I can get them installed by someone other than MB. I willing to spend the money on purchasing the lights though.

yeah I hate I dint get the lighting package. I'm thinking about installing the illuminating emblem. I just hope it doesn't look cheesy. My E350 is all black with the 18" AMG wheels. I'm gonna black out the windows and put 20" Vossen or Niche rims. I'll post pics of whatever I get done to it.

Just had 6000k installed on my car today. There are so many places which will install for you. Much less than you think, anywhere from $100-300. It only took about an hour for them to install mine today. Looks just like it came with the car.

Full LED light system

The Parts Department @ your dealer should be able to tell you the cost of the Full LED headlight assemblies.
My guess would be $2000-2500 per side. Providing that your existing ones are in perfect condition, you might be able to negotiate a partial credit for your existing lights and pay the difference. Give it a try !

I spoke with the parts dept. they told me that the lights can only be done while the car is being assembled. Maybe they were lying to me.

Im in South Florida right now. Just check your local craigslist for HID kit or install. Its all plug and play before the finalize the install and you could probably still back out before its done. But you will love it.

ok thanks for the info bro. I'll look into it. Does yours look similar to the 2014 E350 premium headlights? Can you post a picture of them?

I hope im not steering you wrong. I have been assuming you are referring to HID lights instead of the basic halogen lights. I have a 2011 e350, mine came with the P1 and the P2 comes with the HID lighting.

Why they would lie to you ? The Full LED system is both intelligent and active, which likely means different wiring and fusing, as well as different sensors.

I've heard this a few times and the intelligent part is probably the biggest part. I agree with you.

A quick look in the parts catalog shows that the static LED headlight units cost around $1,350 per unit and the Adaptive LED ones cost $2,040 per unit so the price difference in the headlight parts is ~$1,400 in itself. Then you have the light range adjusting motors that cost $350 each and the voltage converters that cost the same $350 a pop per side. So you're looking at a total of $5,480 in parts alone with the hopes of being able to recoup about $2K of it by selling your existing units.

This does not include labor, STAR pgoramming and possible modification of the wiring and possibly the need for other items that are specific to the Adaptive Headlights such as various sensors.

I would say this is a cost prohibitive mod any way you look at it.

Wow!!!! Thanks for the info. Yeah that's just a little to expensive. I'm on a lease agreement anyway so I'm definitely not spending that much and I just have to remove it in 36 months. I guess I'll just black out the windows, put on the Vossen or Niche 20" rims, and maybe install the illuminating emblem. That should spice it up a little.

Please note the OPs car has standard LED low-beam, therefore those H7-HID retrofit kit doesn't apply to 2014+ models.

If you just want the headlights then its a simple swap. If you want the whole active headlights then there is a lot more work to do and money to spend.
Don't let these grumpy old men tell you its impossible... the younger guys over in the E coupe section have done it.
Good luck
