A45 Jerking under Acceleration
hi,
I recently purchased a 2015 A45.
I have noticed under heavy acceleration the car starts to jolt or jerk fairly violently almost as if the car is restricting me from accelerating.
I have spoken to Mercedes about it but they insist that its one of the safety features in the car. So i turned off all the features i could and gave it another try but it still jolts hard.
I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this problem? if so is it a safety feature or is it something i should be looking into.
Cheers,

You're not alone. I'm having the exact same issue. Quite annoying really. The jolting only stops if you fully release the accelerator for you as well? Let me know if you get more info regarding this.

Update!!
i run the vehicle on 98 octane.
Move brought the vehicle back to Mercedes over a week ago. They found a fault in the transmission and engine.
they are currently in the process of replacing the main engine harness in the vehicle. I will update when I receive the car again. (I'm in Australia)

A45 Misfire
I used to work at the MB as a salesman where I took my A45. They only found that the reason for the misfires was my "Crankshaft Position Sensor". Got it all done for only the price of the sensor itself with no labour. I'll update you on how it feels after a week or so and if the misfires still occur. Please let me know how you go with yours A45lukeg

I was told the same issue, however they replaced the sensor and they found the same fault to occur so they took the next step to replace the engine harness. I'm still waiting to pick up my car but I'll keep you posted

I'm picking my car up this afternoon, I'll let you know if I have the same issue with just the sensor.

Any updates? I have been facing this issue for about a month or so... have sent in my car to the workshop twice and they still can’t identify the problem and refuse to replace any mechanical parts as there is no fault code... all they did was gearbox firmware update and 4MATIC software update

Hi. Can you tell me which dealships you were going to. I get this issue where when I accelerate hard at slower speeds it jolts super hard like brakes applied for split second.... Ive taken to Mercedes twice and they just say couldn't see and did a software update. It is still doing it though. Car is under warrantly and I want it fixed. Sadly it doesn't do all the time so hard to show the issue.

Hi
I have an 2015 A45 and all of a sudden it started jerking up a gear.
I have had 2 crank sensors changed and is still doing it.
Did the engine harness work (and continuing to work) as my local MB said the next step could be the crank itself which would be taking out the engine and everything in front?
Cheers in advance
