Short first impressions: it is a great upgrade from the last version. It drives similar to the new SL but of course with a hard top. They improved the luxury sport of it and it’s a car that you can daily. It is quiet enough on the inside to be on Bluetooth. Exhaust is very loud when you want (exhaust button or sport/sport + mode). I have broken it is yet so I haven’t started to push it hard.

Only complaint (first world problem) is gas mileage sucks. There is a good reason it go hit with the gas guzzler tax and I’m seeing 10.5 mpg in retailer traffic driving.

Really want the gold wheels only avail in the 63. Does anyone know if I can get the 55 and just buy the gold wheels?

I honestly don't see why not, the offset shouldn't be a problem. I recommend checking the ordering guide, with the offset and tire specs and see if there are differences. https://mbworld.org/forums/coupe-roa...der-guide.html

Thanks, The ordering guide says GT63 under "availability" for those wheels whereas the other wheels say "all models" under availability. The gold are the exact same style/size/model as the avail black but cost $700 more than the black. I would even be willing to order the 55 with the black and order the golf after if they'll allow it. Then try to sell the black ones. I mean the gold have to be avail to purchase after market. (i.e. What if you do have the 63 and destroy a rim?)

You're welcome, if you find the colour code, you might be able to order with the colour code, if not can probably provide the VIN to parts and order it in gold that way.
