I always charge mine through the cigarette outlet in rear cargo. Much easier and works great. I just leave it plugged in the cigarette adapter so when I charge I just plug it into the wallOriginally Posted by Vic55

Dealer had said those chargers get hot no matter which way you hook them up. I haven't really paid much attention to it.
