Seems so far it is a big YMMV, driving behaviour (maybe?) also affects it?

also on the hunt. I found these but not familiar with the brand and how low the dust reduction is:

Terrible Brake Squeal

My 2025 GT 55 Coupe has 6,500 miles. For the last 800 miles there is brake squeal every time that I apply the brakes. It is very loud and annoying. I am 30 days away from the A Service. Is it OK to wait until the Service to address the brake squeal with the authorized MB dealer? Or is it too dangerous to continue to drive the car with the squeal? I have owed 8 Mercedes, and I have never had a brake squeal problem. Except for the brake squeal, the GT Coupe has been terrific. Previously I owned a Porsche 911 4S, and I never had an issue with the brakes.

there is a newer thread on the G Wagon forum asking the same thing. There is also likely many other threads about it. or you can go to any BMW forum also.

There is nothing that can be done. Welcome to large, performance brembo brakes on a German car. It's a flawed design, and none of the companies will really do much about it.

Every "solution" is temporary. Nothing works full time other than using different aftermarket pads or going carbon ceramic. the issue with aftermarket pads is, you then sacrifice braking performance and feel as the oem pads seem to be some of the better pads to use, with the exception of the squeal and dust.

I have a G63 and bought the disc Italia pads and rotors from brake world for it, they seem to be doing ok for now... key word for now. Even OEM pads when new seem to be quiet for a while but it inevitably returns. Cleaning them, Cold, hot, hard braking, light braking, trying to re-bed them, nothing works long term. Ive tried it all. Just happy for the current moment my g63 is quiet, and the gt63, is "kinda" quiet. For now.

My 2024 GT63 has a slight squeal also. My F90 M5 comp squealed like a banshee. My F10 M5 comp also squealed like a banshee. My g63 squealed like crazy until they brakes were due, and its better for now. But the pads and rotors dont have many miles anthem.

Yes, all the time as I come to a stop. I wonder if it is because I wash the horrendous brake dust off my wheels all the time. Mercedes should be ashamed of themselves.

Recently the authorized MB dealer performed the Service A on my GT 55 Coupe. And once more the service advisor has told me that the pads and the rotors are OK, and that most AMG owners are complaining about the squealing brake noise. I like the car; however, I cannot live with the squealing. I have written a letter to Alan Chamberlain, CEO, Mercedes of USA, telling him about my problem. In my letter I wrote: "Carl Benz invented the automobile 140 year ago...140 years of innovation. And what has it produced? Automobiles with squealing brakes and wheels with unsightly brake dust!" I will let you know his reply, if any. As a next to final act, I will follow your suggestion and install the disc Italia ceramic pads purchased from Brake World. My final act with be to says "so long" to it and go back to a 911. My thanks for your message with your experiences with squealing bakes.

all the time, its terrible. like others, have had many sports cars, and many mercedes, this is the worst. Took it in yesterday. they removed and cleaned the front brake pads, chamferred the edges and applied a 'noise dampening paste'. We'll see how long this lasts.....

Mine squeak terribly and have since day 1. I'm interested to hear how others who have installed the aftermarket pads are doing. Is it worth it? I've had many other Mercedes models of much less value not squeak at all. Even my wife's GLS squeak as well. Is this even with BMW, Porsche and Audi for those who have owned those brands as well? I love Mercedes but this is unacceptable.
