GT/C192/R192: 24 GT55 Discount
I'm about to go thru with trading my 2019 AMG GT 63 for a 2024 GT55 today, came here to read on any issues with the car and saw this thread.
The dealer was asking 155,735 (based priced 134,900 + the rest in option) after a month of haggling I'm getting it for 138,00 +tax/lic and I got what I asked for on mh trade.
The car has been at the dealer for almost 8 months

And discounts are available for build slots if you want to spec it exactly to your wishes, albeit not as much as one sitting on the lot. Ordered in October, took delivery 3.5 months later, got good discount on gt63.

Same as I posted in regards to factory to dealer money = 15k
There is around 12% from MSRP to triple net of holdback on all GT versions but some stores will probably do more if a unit has been sitting.
The percentage part is dealer determinant but the 15k is there for consumption outside of the agreed upon discount.

That is correct. The 15k was trunk money from Mercedes and expired at the end of April. 184k sticker and paid 141k. It's funny but I reached out to another dealer and they were only discounting their car 5k plus the 15k trunk money. I told them the deal I had in place and they politely said no. Pulled the trigger on the deal and the very next day the other dealer called and said they would do the same deal if I was interested. Told them they were a few hours too late.

Most dealers are around the 6% msrp to to invoice plus an additional 6% in holdback (behind the scenes profit) and they could very well blow out the car at a full 12% off or more. I got more than 15% off due to a stacking procedure my dealer had plus the 15k trunk money but that was in March and my car was a "sitter" 63 (almost 230 days).
Try talking to a fleet manager as they are not as motivated to "high gross" you and possibly just move a car.
Your best bet is to find one that has been sitting for a while (120 days plus) and while it may not be your perfect spec- today is the day dealers will be motivated to sell it to close the month.

There’s only 2 in the Bay Area that I could buy today, with my “must have” options (rear seats and front lift) :
https://www.mboffremont.com/inventor...j8ab1sf006687/
https://express.sfbenz.com/express/W1KRJ8AB1SF004387
The blue one (36 days on the lot) has crazy options and I don’t think it makes sense to spend that on a GT 55 (even with 12%). It’s in the GT 63 price category.
The black one is more reasonable (93 days on the lot), but not my first choice for the color (would prefer white, silver, blue). It should look good in person though.
Waiting a few months for a potential 15% + $15k deal on a GT 63 is an option too.

15% was definitely unique to me and the stair step program I got with my dealer partner. I think 12 is legit though on 25s in some markets right now. West Coast maybe not yet.
The 15k was only on 24's due to excess production vs demand- I dont see the same happening with the 25's unless inventory sits towards the time the 26s arrive.

Not to mention that the MSRP is high for a GT 55.
Any recent purchase of a 2025 GT 55 ?
The blue one has been sitting for 240 days on the lot. I'm considering making an offer, but I have concerns regarding potential tire flat spots, battery degradation, and general exterior wear from 8 months of weather and UV exposure.

They would not be insulted by a low offer, as your concerns are justified, and they are probably getting desperate to move it......but what is wrong with the car, sitting so long? How come no one else took it? No one likes blue? A good test drive is in order. They should correct any problems you find, including a repaint if necessary. I would not feel shy to offer 141 as an opening bid, do not expect them to come down below 168 or so. My next bid would be 148, and final bid at 153 including freight, taxes and fees. Be prepared to walk if they are not moving. There are lots of others out there.
