GT/C192/R192: Different Brake Pads to reduce brake dust

I would like to know as well....I called my local shop...they said nothing shows up for the new AMG GT 55.....
If anyone finds some good low-dust/ceramic brake pads that will fit our car....please let everyone know...thanks!

I checked both and couldn't find any...my local brake shop couldn't find anything listed for my car! Hopefully we see some options eventually...so looks like will have to coat the wheels

I assume the GT 55 and GT 63 use the same brake pads so these front rear pads should fit on both

Why is it a safety thing? Brake Pads are brake pads......unless you are racing the car and putting them under extreme stress. 95% of the people will not be racing their AMG GT. They may push it occasionally, but you will not be doing that much on public roads. The company makes brake pads for thousands of cars. Their slogan "We know brake pads"

I am worried about quality issues on lesser brands or no name brands, if you have to do emergency brake in any circumstances, the last you need is the brake pad failing. Better safe than sorry is my thinking.

oh wow! Could you please give us more detail, as you seem to be the only one out there who has attempted to fix this problem. What pads did you use from the SL55? How was the dust issue with those pads and how was pedal feel?

You just order low dust pads for the 22 sl55amg. they are available but if you try for a 25 gt63 you will be told they aren't available. I purchased 3 sets before this was figured out to order formthe sl55.
The braking felt the same as factory and the dust was reduce by 75%.

Sorry, I don't recall the brand. If I remember there were a few choices. I have carbon ceramic on all my cars and I am also a clean freak. Even though the low dust pads were a huge improvement I just wanted zero dust.

I just ordered the pads linked to below for my GT55. Once I get them installed I'll report back how they perform and how they reduce the brake dust.
