Can anyone confirm the factory tires that the AMG GTS comes with?

For some reason mine came with Continental and I was under the impression they all come equipped with Michelin?

Maybe it's different in Canada?

North American cars get both. Most come with Michelin.

I'm sure your dealer would swap from another car maybe?

Mine came with Michelins. They are FAR superior to the Contis IMO. I changed my wheels and there weren't any Michelins that fit the 20/21 stagger, so I had to get PZeros. Again, a far inferior tire to the Michelins IMO.

Interestingly, when I was at the AMG Driving Academy, all the cars had Contis on them ....except the SLS Black cars. Conti was a big sponsor of the course. But it should tell you something if the highest performing cars there were on Michelins despite Conti being the sponsor....

Many AMGs I have bought came with contis. I always swapped them for pilot super sports after 10k miles, if I kept the car that long... each time I felt an obvious improvement. Thankfully my GT came with pilot super sports.

I was just at a dealer here in Canada and they had a new 2017 GTS in the showroom and it was fitted with Contis. My 2016 came with Michelins.


But now the Pilot Super Sport is discontinued and you can get its replacement, the new Pilot Sport 4S in GTS sizes. Pilot Sport 4S is the 4th generation Pilot Sport (PS2, then PSS, then P4S). The new Michelin is likely the best one to get.

My Feb'17 came with PSS.

Mine with Michelin, but my dealer has a GTR sitting in-store with Pirelli. Guess it comes with both.
