That's just the way it appears from the camera perspective. The suspension is very taut and the 991 chassis is very stable compared to previous iterations.

Based on my recent test drives I can see this happening with the GTS vs the GT3.

I think a fair race would be between an AMG GT and 911 turbo

I wish I could say "I know what you mean", but I can't go near any Porsche dealership right now LOL

I wouldn't. Doesn't a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS seem like the contender, due to being similar price e.t.c?

amg gt s and 991 gt3 are pretty much the same price.

this race is not that surprising, the gt3 doesnt pull CRAZY from a roll. especially with 2 people in the car and only 325 lbft. not sure if he was in first gear when he started, but he should have been. from a dig i would think the gt3 would have won. up to 60-80 mph at least.

So now I own both and clearly the GTS is faster in a straight roll. The 3 is of course the better handler. Where its interesting is from a dig; the GTS has a strong rear weight bias (53%) and Im finding my early on launches to be strong with limited to no wheel spin. The 3 inspires more launch confidence for sure since the tq levels are much lower = mash go, shift.

Some of the real world stock 60 foot times on the oem tires show this.
