Carbon Ceramic Brakes
It also depends on the manufacturer, my aventador has ceramic brakes and they work perfectly even when cold, as of the 458 italia I have, the ceramics are horrible when cold and have that "squishy" feel you're talking about, and a lot of "braking noise"
I ordered my GTS with the normal steel brakes but after taking the car to F1 track here and saw the potential of it, im probably going to get OEM ceramic brakes for her

I pay the premium to never have brake dust.... I have the CCB on my E63 and literally hand wash my wheels once per month.
I will never use steel brakes ever again.

I have them on my E63 as well, which is our winter car, and again never needs any warming up... hard grabs right from the getgo... Every time!

Does anyone know what the maintenance costs are on the steel brakes?
I have not heard any noise from the GTS yes, but I've only clocked 300 miles 😂
Stopping distances on the streets are proven to not be better.
For most of us that even go only a few times on the track per year, it is cheaper to change steel rotors and I know I am not good enough to fully explore the limit of the car with only a few times here and there.
I would rather spend $8K on tunes, wheels and dust free pads than OEM CC brakes.

Carbon Ceramic Brakes for GT S
This upgrade would allow you to swap between your stock iron and CCM rotors.
